The celestial detergent

The Celestial Detergent.

I spread a generous amount of the liquid soap and rub it forcefully with the wire scrub. The grease and slime of the utensil was stubborn and unyielding. I had to apply a greater angular centrifugal force on the inside, and simultaneously rotate the utensil  on its edge with my left hand. The right and the left hands have to work in tandem, with a rhythmic synchrony.  I realise cleaning steel utensils is a science. After this circumferential exertion, I finally see the results of my labour as I proceed to rinse it under the cascading effervescent water rushing down from the tap. It adroitly and obligingly washes away the grime. And behold, I am holding on to the crisp, sparkling, squeaky clean utensil. The convex body  reveals my caricatured reflection. It appropriately amplifies the smile on my face.  It's a moment of stainless ecstacy. Now I understand why this metal had a preceding adjective. Stainless steel.  I park this blemishless shining vessel with one side raised on a wooden serviette, to drain the dripping water. I watch the drops of water trickling down along the smoothe gentle curves.  Before I turn my attention to the next candidate awaiting it's turn, I can't help wondering if there ever was any chemical, that could effectively rid the greasy grime off some of those irritatingly  slimy people. A compound that could cleanse the grease of double speak, hypocrisy, sycophancy and ineptitude. A grease, that coats the conscience and integrity of these slippery characters.
On a larger scale, even evolved civilized society has coerced  man's pristine innate existence  to don a grease paint that's euphemistically called politics, religion and puedo intellectualism. These have only bred hypocrisy, pretentious behavior, insecurity and power struggles. Affluence, greed and abject indulgence has created a chasm between the haves and have nots. The slimy filth of arrogance, insolence and avarice has obscured the humanity of the humans.   They have pushed mankind to the brink of destroying not only himself but also the planet that he inhabits. They have evolved and sustained a hegemonic  hierarchy in a species that is genetically identical. A hierarchy that's resulted in poverty, depravity, suffering, crime and exploitation. The bipedal species that was expected to evolve to Godhood has in fact been regressing to the wilder, more primitive quadruped species.
This grime and grease that's debased and coated mankind needs to be cleansed with a detergent, that will leave behind a spotless sparkling race.
The recent Corona virus, that's looming large as mankind's nemesis might just be that detergent.
It is uniting and galvanising mankind, serving as a stark reminder of his fragility and transience. All of mankind's achievements, accoutrements cannot afford him any protection from this microbe that infects with scant regard to any man made hierarchies.
An affliction, that threatens his very survival, an affliction, that strips mankind bare off all the distinctions of caste, creed, religion and race. An infection that is unforgiving unrelenting and yet paradoxically unifying. A phenomenon that doesn't respect the fractures and fissures in the essentially monolithic entity of humankind.
This grease will have to be washed down with an abundantly flowing water of introspection and compassion. It would consequently leave behind a pure, sparkling, race, without the taint of discrimination, hierarchy, and segregation. It would bestow mankind, the benediction of a vibrant, harmonious homogeneity. It would provide this human race the opportunity  to see it's true reflection. And perhaps if he looked carefully, the image of his benefactor and creator, that lies camouflaged within.
