Anti Establishment Stance

Taking an anti establishment stance.

Intelligence is indeed a double edged weapon. The edge that promotes creative pursuits in domains of art, literature, science, is what has evolved mankind to the present day. Intelligence is indeed a blessing when deployed for appropriate causes. The other edge of intelligence is the dark side, that very effectively can be the devil's advocate. The 'dark intelligence', like dark matter is often destructive to the fabric of society.
This dark intelligence manifests as a  class of intellectuals, who take a very defiant 'why not' stance. Their objective is primarily to oppose and resist. And in a democracy, they are constitutionally justified to do so. Exerting and affirming their right to free speech is a very laudable provision of the law of the land. There are always going to be multiple perspectives to interpreting any situation, position or decision. Taking a very unilateral, tunnel vision perspective is indeed a pity but
their intelligence arms them with arguments and views, that are apparently logical. And yet, their countenance reeks of attempts to affirm their identity by opposing the establishment. Such individuals fall prey to the machinations of ideologies  promulgated by parties and Individuals with their vested interests.
This tribe of psuedo-intellectuals(PI) have a major identity crisis, and whet their egos by taking  a position, that's anti establishment. Rebels without a cause. Or perhaps rebels without a pause. They become crusaders, apparently projecting themselves as being the only courageous ones to openly take on the might of the establishment. They are cynical, skeptical and highlight the only the cons of any effort or endeavor made by the establishment. Every decision or effort certainly has a flip side, unpleasant consequences, and perhaps a few causalities. That's the inevitability of any proactive step. Politics of appeasement has never evolved a nation. More so, if the vast majority are not too informed and aware of the long term implications of policies and the objectives of the policy makers. Even the highly educated lot has a number of individuals, who form opinions without bothering to look into the merits and facts of any policy. They are passive fence sitters, who can get swayed by the puedo propaganda of the anti establishment brigade. Politics has never been so polarised in this country, where the stakev holders are leaving no stone unturned to drive the wedge of hatred and disharmony and project the regime as power hungry monsters. The entire globe is being driven towards a rather right wing mindset and I don't mean it from a religious perspective, but as a tendency to protect the interests of the natives of the land. The western world has shown this inclination by electing leaders who mince no words in expressing their aversion to immigrants. The geopolitical situation in India very unfortunately  tints this solidarity to the nation with shades of saffron. This has given greater ammunition to the PI to cry hoarse against the establishment and it's policies, that are primarily in the interests of the nation and it's citizens.
Deadlocks, failure of arbitration,  relentless protests, are all fueled by the perversion of these PI and it all seems to lead to a stalemate, that's going to be very hard to resolve.
